Hey, @peopleinside
You pinged back to us like a really pro-active user. Appreciated.
Yes, LoginPress 3.0 updated its default template layout. I’ve gone through your login page and see that the form layout looks perfect. Have a look => https://d.pr/i/0xNzxD
Looks like you have made some custom CSS which makes the issue. I’ve created a helpful video for you and explained it well => https://d.pr/v/0aVhIw Here you need to update your custom CSS.
Thank you.
@abdulwahab610 the look you taked in the screenshot is done by another plugin. I removed LoginPress for now. The new update broken my login page look so I’m using a different plugin for now. Thanks.
Hey, @peopleinside
Do you have a stage site so we can test the broken layout there? Your custom CSS makes an issue with LoginPress’s new layout. I’m ready to help you in fixing them if you want. π
Thank you.
Thanks but for now I’m happy with the new plugin I’m using.
The update broken my login layout and i fixed by using another plugin.
Thanks. The pre-existing padding is no longer applied until you add more padding in the customizer.
The default theme previously included the logo and footer text within the login form box but now appears to be above / below it even though the default theme thumbnail still shows it within the login box. I prefer them within. Perhaps some options to pick a placement within or outside is needed.
Login box appears to be vertically centered now when previously it was near the top of the page. I do not see an option to choose one or the other. Vertically centered would be fine on mobile / tablet I guess, but on large screens it just feels off, probably because it’s normally been placed near the top forever.
I reverted back to the old version of the plugin since I don’t have time to deal with this on dozens of sites. Would have preferred the updating just didn’t completely break old settings. Like maybe there should be 2 default themes, the new one and and old classic theme that when people upgrade who are using the old default, it’s sets to the classic version first so they don’t immediately break.

@endymion00 I was loosing also custom button colours, etc not only the layout that seems cut, incomplete on my opinion in the new look.
I’m happy with the alternative plugin I found, the login looks looks great and not incomplete.
Yes I think broke all website that has old settings was not a great choice.
I used to use another plugin before it was just not updated for PHP 8+, so I looked around and found this one and converted all my sites to is with individual customization for each sites color scheme and logos. Don’t reall want to have redo everything again because of a poorly thought through update. I’ll give them the chance to add a Classic Default theme as well to the basic plugin and/or some additional customizer options to keep me. Otherwise I’ll just continue using the old cersion of the plugin for now.
Just not a good idea to release an update that breaks everyone’s login appearances.
My login layout is awful with this release. Please provide the option to use previous layout. Having to revert back to version 1.8.
Hey, @joantu234, @endymion00 and @peopleinside
We’ve sent a new release v3.0.1 in which we fixed the listed issues.
Release Note:- Bugfix: Revert the default layout of the LoginPress from v3.0.0
- New Feature: Introducing a new and trendy LoginPress template named asΒ
Minimalist
.
Please have a look.
Thank you.
Thanks, after updating just had to switch from the Minimalist theme to Default since it still appears to select Minimalist by default rather than the previously selected Default. Would be nice if it defaulted to the previous “Default” if thats what was selected.
Hey, @endymion00
Good to know that the core issue is resolved. It’d be selected as the default template if you didn’t change the layout yourself in between the 3.0 and 3.0.1 release. Please try to update on your other site and see.
Looking forward.
I though that at first, but I updated it on an untouched site and it defaulted to Minimalist anyway.
Could you please come to the support forum? So I can test it on your site along with you?
Nothing really to test since I’ve already set it to the Default theme.
A site that has not every been updated to 3.0 that is using the Default theme is set to Minimalist after the update to 3.0.1 directly. Then in the customizer switching it back to Default resolves the issue.
Perhaps in your test environment, install 1.8 set to default. Then update and see which theme is selected after moving to 3.0.1
