    How urgent would it be to upgrade a WordPress 2.7 to 3.0.1?

    The reason I’m asking is because one of my clients has 2.7 and I did encorage him to upgrade to 3.0.1. He would like to wait a bit before to upgrade. I’d like to advise him how long he can keep the site in 2.7.

    Whether if it’s a year or it’s a MUST update now.

    If anyone can help that would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Quite urgent. 2.7 is full of publicly known security vulnerabilities.

    I’d like to advise him how long he can keep the site in 2.7.

    WordPress itself powers over 8% of the web, which is quite a large margin for one blogging platform, and makes it a prime target for hackers. I recommend upgrading immediately.
