Support » Fixing WordPress » Version 2.5: Assigning widget to sidebar R or L

  • Hi

I have done a completely successful upgrade to version 2.5. Everything appears to be working great. What I can’t find is how to move a widget from one side-bar to another. Am i missing something or was this feature eliminated? Can someone please instruct me?

  • Remove it from one sidebar and then add it to the other one.

I know. I hate the new widget config screen too. Definitely a step backwards.

Thanks. It helped to be reassured that it existed, even though it now requires nine clicks that are not inuitive, when it used to require only one drag and drop. Rookies!

    Thanks again.

Let’s campaign for this! 🙂 much simpler in prev version

Start a petition, declare war, whatever it takes. You’ve got my vote to see the ability to move widgets between sidebars restored!!!!!!!!

won’t work here. native widgets work okay. but widgets added from plugins are only added to the first sidebar. what can be done?

I can’t even get native widgets to go to my 2nd sidebar in 2.5.1 . Anyone else having this problem and know of a solution?
