We have changed architecture of the gallery structure and implemented gallery types. It was required step to get to the next stage of the implementation new integrations and view for the gallery.
In new gallery we already released new youtube gallery type where you can use youtube API and import playlists and youtube channels. In previous version we had only import youtube videos by single link.
This old video gallery mode also persist.
Clone function was temporarily disabled for mosaic gallery, masonry gallery, polaroid gallery just for the period of transfer between version 2 and 3
We have another few steps of the updates which already implemented. This new steps already include new slider view, images carousel, 3d slider view, filmstrip view, new lightbox and new gallery grid with new sets of the hover effects. Unfortunately Instagram feed was temporary excluded from this close releases because of the Instagram API modifications which broke down few key features of this integration in our gallery.
Unfortunately we have few months delay with this next steps releases because of issues of the conversion between version 2 and 3 for some users. We didn’t know that so much users have really old outdated versions of the gallery. We had tests with set of the latest versions of the gallery but wasn’t able to test compatibility of the robo gallery version 3 with 2-3 years old releases. It’s just impossible to test all of this versions, that’s why we’re working hard right now to catch and fix all bugs and issues which was reported by users during this period of time (after release of the robo gallery versions 3).
We’re really sorry for any inconvenience and delays with reply for some support tickets but amount of the requests was really huge.
So we need to do final tests and fixes to make stable version of the robo gallery 3 with maximum compatibility with old versions and after that we’ll do next steps of the releases with new functionality and I hope that this functionality will be really pleasant for our Dear Users!
We’re really sorry for all problems which was part of this workflow during last few months, to be honest we had another picture of this process in our imagination.
But we’re really sure that we’re really close to this next steps, we can’t wait to make all of our Users more happy and I’m sure that we’ll accomplish this main task of our team 🙂
