    Guys,

Version 2.0 brokes the Review block on the front end — the block doesn’t render correctly with huge stars and checked marks etc. Please fix it.

Look like all recent updates break stuff. This is getting scary. πŸ™

    Hey @ngodong,

Can you send me the link to the page where this is happening?

I had to change it back to the older version. I can’t afford to have that on the site, Hardeep.

But the block doesn’t render correctly on the site’s front end. It’s OK, on the editing page.

I set up a staging site for you to see:

Use the same login info you got from my email last time. Let me know if you need me to send the info again.

    Hey @ngodong,

Thank you for the test site. I was able to point to what’s causing this issue. It’s due to the review being used inside a Reusable Block.

We will fix it and release an update soon. In 2.0, we updated to a new mechanism for loading CSS to improve the performance so that’s why things have changed.

Sorry for the issue, you will receive the 2.0.1 update soon.

    Thanks, Hardeep.

Yes, reusable blocks are the only way the Review block can replace the previous Product Review plugin for my need.

Thanks, looking forward. And I use a lot of reusable blocks. Is that a bad thing?

@ngodong No, that’s not a bad way at all. It’s just lack of testing that we did with Reusable blocks, will make a note of this for the QA team.

    Hey @ngodong,

You can update to the 2.0.1 version and it should be fixed. Let me know!

2.0.1 fixes the front end but causes page editing to be extremely slow :(. Letters not appear as I type.

    Hi @ngodong!

Could you please check if clearing the browser cache helps with the slowness?

    Thank you!

    I’ve tried everything.

When you open an existing post to edit (that has a Review or Accordion block in it), things are normal at first. However, as I start to type, it gets progressively slower. By the time I’ve typed a few hundred words, it gets excruciatingly slow, taking a few seconds for the letters to appear.

When I save the post and reopen it, the slowness repeats the same way. OK at first and progressively worse.

If you want to test it, make sure you have a page that’s already published. Now edit it and make quite a few changes, not just a few words, then you will see.

This sometimes happens with a completely new post, too, just make sure you have a Review block at the bottom.

It seems the new version has some kind of programing loop causing the browser to stop responding.

    Hi @ngodong,

Okay, thanks for the trying! Personally I’m not able to replicate this, but there must be some edge cases when this occurs as we’ve seen other users reporting it as well. We’ll investigate this further and hopefully a fix for this issue will be included in the next version of the plugin.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!
