Support » Plugin: Yoast SEO » Version 11.0 Can NOT TURN OFF SCHEMA MARKUP

    Just upgraded one of our site to Yoast SEO 11.0 with the new structured data features. There is no way to turn off the generation of structured data markup in this version. If you do not have anything selected in the Search Appearance > Knowledge Graph & Schema.org setting (Choose if you’re an org or person), the Yoast SEO still generates /WebPage and /Article markup – Article markup has two errors in it.

    Yoast support – you guys REALLY need a setting to disable this structured data feature, there are a LOT of sites out there using custom plugins and manually generated structured data code that this is NOT going to play well with. It is VITAL that you add a feature to disable Yoast SEO structured data generation for those situations.

    Any way to keep the schema output for yoast breadcrumbs? That filter will disable all schema markup, including breadcrumbs. Thanks!

    Is it possible to disable only some schema output? We wan to include article on post but not collection-page on categories.

    ^^^ This, ideally if Yoast wanted to fix this right you would be able to disable which markup generation you want to turn off.

    That’s not a suitable interface at all for controlling such an important part of the program and something that impacts a great deal of other plugins outputs. I highly suggest you add at the very least an ability to turn all schema output off or on in your next update which I assume will be soon.

    Ideally, you would add ability to turn each markup section on/off. Default should be OFF for everything as it was on previous versions. Please be descriptive in your interface so people know exactly what they are turning on and off, don’t dumb down the descriptions.

    Not working:
    add_filter( ‘wpseo_json_ld_output’, ‘__return_false’ );

    I cannot use update.

    Please add an option to revert to Yoast 10 behavior.

    That doesn’t sound appropriate, it sure isn’t resolved…

    Also… Yoast is adding user gravatar image-URL also when gravatar is disabled globally and for each author.

    Please give the possibility to disable it, as filter doesn’t work.
