# Version 1.3 Breaks form

 * When I updated to PDF Forms Filler for Contact Form 7 1.3.0 my forms no longer
   submit. I get the error
    Error generating PDF: PDF form is not an AcroForm, XFA
   forms are not supported at pdf-ninja
 * When i revert back to version 1.2.4 it works fine.
 * Am i missing an update that requires me to change my PDF?

 * This should not happen.
 * The old version used to fail silently (for the users) and just attach a TXT file
   with the error to the email message. The new version shows fill errors when the
   user submits the form.
 * The only reason why it might happen is because you are still getting errors with
   the old version but they are not shown to the users and instead attached to the
   email message.
 * Can you check to see if there is a TXT file attached when you try version 1.2.4?
 * Regarding no support for XFA forms: this has always been the case since the first
   version of the plugin. There is progress being made to add XFA form support in
   the coming months. For now, there is no way PDFs with no AcroForm forms would
   work.
 * I would like to test your PDF file to double check. Can you send me your file
   to admin at maximum dot software?

 * There was no change in the new version that might conceivably cause your issue.
 * I think your issue is either file truncation by some other plugin or an image
   optimizer plugin stripping forms from PDF files.
 * [ShortPixel Image Optimizer](https://wordpress.org/plugins/shortpixel-image-optimiser/)
   is known to cause your issue.

 * There is no txt file attachment on the email sent. The form is filled out as 
   expected and sent properly.
 * The plugins I have installed are:
    Automatic image ALT attributes – 2.0 Backup

   1.6.4 Ditty News Ticker – 2.2.17 Duplicate Page – 4.2 GA Google Analytics – 20200325
   Image Title Remove – 1.0 Imagify – 1.9.10 MainWP Child – 4.0.7.2 PDF Forms Filler
   for Contact Form 7 – 1.2.4 Rank Math SEO – 1.0.46 Shortcode For Current Date –
   2.1.2 Sticky Menu (or Anything!) on Scroll – 2.21 UpdraftPlus – Backup/Restore–

 * I don’t think I’ve received your form. If you can send it to my email at admin
   at maximum dot software then I will take a look at it.
 * Can you disable the ‘Imagify’ plugin and reupload your PDF file and reattach 
   it to the form? I think that might be the culprit.
 * I can debug this issue for you if you don’t mind sending me a temporary wp-admin
   login details.
