Support » Plugin: Custom Post Type Maker » Version 1.1.7 Broke My Site

    Hi,

I just updated to version 1.1.7 and it broke all the links to my custom posts throughout my site. Luckily I was able to revert to 1.1.6 using Updraft Plus, but it kind of freaked me out.

I didn’t get a chance to explore what had really broken, but the error was that instead of looking for the link mysite.com/custom-post-type-name/custom-post the links were just mysite.com/custom-post, which of course generated 404 errors.

    Thanks,
    Matthew

Re-save permalinks. Plugin doesn’t really have code changes. See if it works.

Thanks…I’ll do that after I build a dev site. With over 50,000 registered users I need to be more careful 🙂

Hi, it wasn’t the permalinks. Installing the update deactivated the plugin which I’ve never seen happen before. Activating it made everything good. Thanks!

Hello. Just had the same issue on several sites I manage. After updating to 1.1.7 the plugin did not reactivate automatically. I had to manually activate the plugin on each install. All sites were already on 5.2.2 before updating the plugin.

The main plugin file was renamed to be compatible with wordpress php linting. This caused the plugin to be deactuvated after install. Sorry about that.

No worries. Thanks for looking into it and for maintaining such a useful plugin!
