Keine Ahnung!

@floriansg – Sorry to hear that, BUT I think there is some confusion. As the developer of this plugin I can assure you that is not the case.

    1. We use Freemius, which is 100% in compliance with WordPress.org guidelines in that it explicitly asks your permission to optin for usage tracking and “potential” email outreach. It is used in dozens if not hundreds of plugins in this repo without issue.

That process comes up when you first install, shows a skip button and agree button with full details of what is being agreed to, then sends a confirmation email (from Freemius, not us) and once verified enables usage tracking of things like PHP & WP version etc.

    Definitely not what you described.

    2. Though we do send Freemius optins to a MailChimp list for future notices as outlined in the agreement screen, we don’t actually send anything to users who opt-in, at least not yet, not even a confirmation message as you already double-opted in via Freemius before your added to the mailing list. Again 0 emails have ever been sent from that list.

So unless you are talking about a Freemius confirmation email or deactivation email, both of which only are sent if you agreed to optin initially, not if you skipped, you are not seeing anything from us.

    3. I’d love to see what email your discussing, and if its not related to our plugin, or is the Freemius optin only emails, I kindly ask you to update this review.

Otherwise all I can say is sorry to hear that, its not on our end, and if its related to Freemius, it absolutely complies with all guidelines.
