verifying backup files and downgrading

    Hi.

    I am experiencing too many weird things with 2.0.1 so I want to downgrade back to 2.0. How do I verify that my backup files are in fact all there? I used the wp backup plugin and now have a sql.gz file–how do I open that? I also copied over everything in my wordpress directory to my harddrive.
