Verify error for items with Variations

    Hello,

    I am trying to publish items to ebay which have variations. When I try to verify the listing, it successful splits the product into separate listings but then I get an error which states that:

    “There has been no primary category assigned.”

    The original listing has an ebay category assigned and when I go to the new variations listing that has been automatically created there does not seem to be an option to add it in.

    Any assistance is appreciated.

    I’m afraid this is a known issue with WP-Lister which should be fixed in the next update.

    Currently, you need to select the primary category in the listing profile, if you need to use the “split variation” feature.

    All right, I just uploaded version 1.3.2 – sorry for the delay, but there were some other issues I had to fix as well before releasing a new stable version.

    Matt having the issue with WP Lister for Ebay. Love it so far. FInally figured out a few things.

    Here’s my issue. Trying to list a variation product with WooCommerce. But I get this error. Plus my quantities are all jacked. I have it set to 2 but it shows my whole stock of 82. Dont want to blow out my limit.

    Error: Variations not enabled in category (#21916564)
    Selected category is not enabled for variation listings

    To add. What do i get for the paid plugin. I’m going to buy the Amazon one. You’ve done great work!

    thanks for your kind words – it’s greatly appreciated. But please don’t hijack posts that are unrelated to your question. If you need support, create a new post – or contact me using the contact form on wplab.com.

    I wish I could help you with your issue though, but I’afraid I can’t tell you anything other than the error message already says: Your “selected category is not enabled for variation listings” – so you will have to use a different category, or you can’t list variable items.

    These rules are made by eBay – and eBay doesn’t allow variations for most categories other than clothing. You might have to enable the option to “flatten variations” in your profile as a workaround if you can’t find another category.
