    Hi there.

    ver.2.1.0 Release.

    The trouble which exists in 2.0.7, 2.0.8, 2.0.9 was improved.

    Fixed bug: Custom Query which uses ‘order’ or ‘orderby’ parameters is preferred.

    It does not depend on the designation manner of arguments( Parameters ).

    $args = ‘orderby=&order=’
    $args = array( ‘orderby’ => ”, ‘order’ => ” )

    From 2.0.6 please update in 2.1.0.
    Because Fatal performance problem was improved dramatically in 2.1.0.
    Please try this.

  • Hi hijiri
    still same problem for WP_QUERY using order parameter:

    ‘orderby’ => ‘date’,
    ‘order’ => ‘DESC’

    No matter if i use DESC or ASC, results are always order in ASC.

    thanks for this great plugin and latest improvements, but unfortunately with 2.1.0
    ‘orderby’ => ‘rand’
    doesn’t work anymore, too.

    Hey hijiri,

    First I’d like to state that I love your plugin.

    But the latest versions were broken for me as well.
    I’m not sure what is the logic you follow with these latest changes.
    I’m also not sure if my thinking is right, but we might be able to help each other.

    With 2.1.0 you removed the ifs from the else section, so now anyone having an ordered query will have that overridden to “menu_order”. I guess that’s why people are complaining here.

    I’m also not sure why are you dealing with the global $args in the first place. As I can see at the point hicpo_pre_get_posts() runs $wp_query is already set up with whatever is in $args so why don’t you just focus on $wp_query?
    Am I missing some use cases here?

    I have already created a topic a while ago about this very same issue, please check it out:
