I have the same issue. I’ve got 4.0.11 installed at dinbokdrom.se and nothing happened this morning men I published a new post.
I have had problems with previous 4.x versions as well.
Two weeks ago (don’t remember which 4.x version) only 8 people received the notification. I have few subsribers, only 41 addresses that have managed to subsribe but 41 is better than 8 or zero.
I read something in another tread about moving audience between lists. Will try that.
Hi @bigpersian,
Sorry for your troubles.
Can you please let me know if Emails are queued in reports section?
Please check in Email Subscribers > Reports menu.
Can you please check if only post notification not working or broadcast also not working.
Test email from Email Subscribers is working or not?
@kristinahsvensson,
Can you please contact us via this link with you reports screenshot?
We will check this and let you know.
Hi @sandhyam , the reports show a status of “Completed” and there are no emails in the queue. The cron job runs every minute and I have tried letting it do its thing or manually forcing it to send with no luck either way. When I manually force it I get the window that says Email sent successfully, no emails in queue. I’ve tested on both post notification and broadcast message types to no avail.
I did update to 4.0.12 today and re-tried all of the tests and the issue still persists.
Its so strange that it worked in 3.x but not 4.x, yet WP Mail SMTP test email still works, just not any emails generated by Email Subscribers.
Thanks!
Reza
Hi Reza,
Thanks for the information.
Can you please check whether test email from Email Subscribers > Tools works or not? If you receive test email, which means email sending from ES is working fine.
If it doesn’t not work, please check what’s the email type you have set in Email Subscribers > Settings > General section. Please try with “HTML Mail” type and check once again.
Please do above steps and let us know how it goes.
Hi @malayladu
If I do a test from Email Subscribers tools page it DOES NOT WORK! I have tried it as HTML, Plaintext, PHP, with no luck as mentioned in the first post.
I can successfully send a test email from WP Mail SMTP’s test page however.
That is the issue…Email Subscribers for whatever reason starting in 4.x no longer seems to be direct its emails to use WP Mail SMTP. Not sure why.
I am using the latest release of both plugins, and have tried uninstalling/reinstalling both with no luck. Only downgrading Email Subscribers to 3.x seems to work.
Thanks!
Reza
@bigpersian
What’s the from email you have set in WP Mail SMTP?
Can you please set Sender Email in Email Subscribers > Settings > General as the from name you have set in WP Mail SMTP and check once again whether test email is going out from Email Subscribers?
Hi @malayladu
I confirmed that the sender emails are identical in both the WP Mail SMTP and Email Subscribers settings. Currently set as “donotreply@thegypsyfalcon.com”
Thanks,
Reza
