  • One of our clients has only older versions of IE available as their browser and when creating an event the scroll window for Venue jumps to the top of the view immediately upon selecting a particular venue.

    It then puts in the venue that is in the equivalent position but at the top of the list.

    I’m not seeing any Console errors when this happens so I’m not sure what is going but I can confirm the issue on IE 11. I’m not sure what version of IE my client is using but it as no more than 11.

    No issue in Chrome or Edge.

  • I’m having the same issue here. I tried with IE 11 as well on two different computers.

    No issues on Chrome.

    Thanks for using The Events Calendar!

    I’m sorry about this issue you are having. I tested it myself in IE11 and can confirm that this happens. It seems to be a bug related to the browser. I will report this to our developers, and hopefully they can come up with a fix soon.

    Until the fix comes I can propose 2 workarounds.

    1. After opening the dropdown use the arrow keys to select the venue, then hit Enter.

    2. After opening the dropdown start typing in the venue name in the search field. When the list is short enough that you don’t need to scroll any more, either click with the mouse or again use the arrow keys.

    Hey Daniel / Tom,

    This has been logged in our product backlog and will be addressed in an upcoming maintenance release of the plugin. We still don’t have a date when this will be fixed and released but I’ve linked this thread with the bug report so you’ll get a heads-up when that happens.
