    Well done, great plugin!
I find it difficult to get the position on the map. Some venues are not available and/or can be far away from the place marker.
Will it not be possible to have a tickbox for “show map” – so the map functionality will only be available if ticked in admin panel? Alternatively have a map where one can drag the place marker to the exact spot
    Keep it up
    Thanks

Could you give examples of the pointer being inaccurate?

Hey Matthew, thank you so much for the reply
My site is all about wine estates and the farms do not all have an exact street address like a typical house / building / function venue with a street address.

e.g. Steenberg Wine Estate is a well known estate. If you search Steenberg Wine estate or Steenberg Road, South Africa the position will not indicate accurately: http://mediamatix.co.za/events/?id=3&vid=3
(The actual position is to the left of the marker, close to the M42 marker)

Hillcrest is one more example. They don’t have a street number and the actual position is once again more left, at the dam on the map http://mediamatix.co.za/events/?id=5&vid=5

If one can just get your marker close and then drag it to the exact position when submitting the event it will be great.

For you and me web comes natural, but the average marketer who needs to submit these events might just click away or ask me to submit the event… I need to free myself from these web admin tasks

Showing a map with position is great, but more importantly is to have the listing on my site, even if there is no map and only a short text description (bypassing the map)

You can have a look on my site “Submit winery” and see how the map is handled for winery listings (I need to approve listings so you can submit a test winery)

    Hope this helps

Makes sense, however there are several event options that don’t have the restriction of location tracking. Have you tried one of those?

Well I’ve been looking around and up to now unable to find a decent frontend events upload plugin – Plenty of options where admin must add the events…
Might be weird but it needs to be relatively basic – I need a quick and easy upload/submit platform that will give just enough info to the user and if interested in the event click through to the event organizers page. If you know any frontend plugins that fits the description I will be very keen to get my hands on them
    Thanks

I don’t know of any offhand that contain the same functionality.
