Support » Plugin: The Events Calendar » Venue CSV import missing “Show Google Map”

    Hello,
I’m using The Event Calendar 4.6.11.1 and PRO version 4.4.23. I tried to import Venues from CSV file with the following columns and data:

    NAME,GPS_LATITUDE,GPS_LONGITUDE,WEBSITE,OVERWRITE_GPS,SHOW_MAP,SHOW_MAP_LINK
    Střelnice Chvalšiny,48.858751,14.198753,http://avzo-sk-chvalsiny.wz.cz/strelnice/,1,1,1

It is not possible to map the SHOW_MAP column to the “Show Google Map” attribute and similarly the SHOW_MAP_LINK is not possible to assign to the “Show Google Map Link” attribute of the venue. The import preview does not display these attributes in the corresponding columns’ comboboxes.

Next problem: If I change the GPS coordinates of the venue in my CSV, they are not updated even if the “Overwrite Coordinates” (OVERWRITE_GPS in my CSV) is set to 1.

    Hey @lairman,

First off, I would like to apologize for the delay answering.
We are currently experiencing a higher level of requests than usual.

Please rest assured that we are working hard at correcting this situation.
We appreciate your patience while we try to normalize things.

    Thank you for reaching out.

You are right, both Google Map related fields are not part of the CSV import at this point. But, if you are comfortable using snippets in your functions.php file, the following my be useful: https://gist.github.com/elimn/4cbdbf600e4d25842a824147b2e56e5e

The second issue is a more surprising.
Can you try the following (after making sure you have a valid Google Map API Key in place):

    1. Save the venue manually after the import is complete
    2. Uncheck, the “use latitude and longitude” box, save the venue. Recheck it and save the venue again.
    3. Try temporarily reverting back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if that helps

Can you also provide us with a link to the website where this is happening ?

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,
thanks a lot for the reply.

The link you provided helped, thank you.

As for the “Overwrite coordinates”…. Manually from the admin page it works well.
I’m sorry but currently I can’t provide you the website’s link because it is still under construction and it is not public yet. I have the website on my PC only. I plan to publish it in a few months (maybe weeks…)

    Thank you again!
    Best regards,
    Petr
