# Venobox Plugin not working

    I uploaded the plugin, changed the settings and saved. But the images
   don’t pop up in a window. Please advise, Regards, Teresa

 * When you add the images via the media library you have to ensure that the ‘Link
   To Media File’ is selected in the dropdown.

 * Hello,
    Not sure if you got my last query. I have two websites that need updating
   to venobox lightbox. I have made sure it says link to media file on all the images.
   But they are showing in a browser window, not a lightbox. The websites are: [http://www.poetryadnportrait.com](http://www.poetryadnportrait.com),
   [http://www.teresalakier.com](http://www.teresalakier.com). Please advise. Regards.

   see that the javascript and CSS files for Venobox are not loading (but I can 
   see the plugin options are loading) – I see you are using Autoptimize – can you
   clear Autoptimze cache and disable it to test if the Venobox scripts then load.
 * for [http://www.teresalakier.com/](http://www.teresalakier.com/) I can’t see 
   either the plugin options or scripts/css for Venobox that’s why I assumed that
   the plugin wasn’t activated – perhaps here also clear the cache and temporary
   disable JetPack and see if it works.

 * pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding `?ao_noptimize
   =1` to the URL.
 * if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration
   might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to
   exclude in [the AO FAQ](https://wordpress.org/plugins/autoptimize/#faq).
