When using native WooCommerce product management screens, I can see vendors are able to create new categories and assign them to their products.

Is this a bug? If not, how do I stop vendors from being able to create categories?

Hi @meglio , we have checked the vendor’s side WooCommerce Add product page, the vendor can only access the category, but can’t add any category, as you can see here – https://www.useloom.com/share/e2d37b1c6c264246aa3b5ea9339bed90. You can check the same our demo site too -http://wcmpdemos.com/addon/WCMp/my-account/

Can you please check whether you are using any role editor plugin or any custom code is causing this issue.
