Support » Theme: Vega » Vega theme buttons and call to action boxes

  • Hello!

    I’m adding different call-to-action boxes on my blog and would like to make the boxes and buttons the same style, form, and color – as the default ones of the theme.

    Is there a code that I can use for that?

    Thank you!

    Sure! When creating a button link, try this code:

    <a href="#" class="btn btn-primary-custom">Button Label</a>

    This will a default button that matches the theme color – for example here http://prntscr.com/dcz991 (for the orange theme).

    Let me know if you need anything.

    Hello!

    Thank you for your reply. I would like to ask you few more things.

    1. Where exactly in the code you’ve given above I should put the button link?

    2. How do I put the button in a new paragraph (separated from the logo and the banner text) in the banner of the home page?

    3. I’m using Magic Action Box and want to use the theme default button, but there isn’t an option to put the code. Could you give me the two color numbers (I’m using the blue version of the theme) as well as the other requirements for the button, border, etc.?

    Тhank you!

    1. Where exactly in the code you’ve given above I should put the button link?
    — Go to Appearance > Customize > Advanced > Custom CSS.

    2. How do I put the button in a new paragraph (separated from the logo and the banner text) in the banner of the home page?
    — Here is sample for the banner caption:

    <p><em>Now with WooCommerce and qTranslateX support!</em></p>
    <p><a class="btn btn-primary-custom btn-margin-top" href="http://wordpress.org/themes/vega">Download Now</a></p>

    3. I’m using Magic Action Box and want to use the theme default button, but there isn’t an option to put the code. Could you give me the two color numbers (I’m using the blue version of the theme) as well as the other requirements for the button, border, etc.?
    — The blue button color is #2e93cd. You can look at exact styling in the style.css file. Look for the class btn-primary-custom.

    In the style.css file I see only the colors for the orange theme style:

    .btn-primary-custom{ background-color:#F55145; border-color:#F55145; color:#fff; }
    .btn-primary-custom{ background-color:#F55145; color:#fff; }
    .btn-primary-custom:focus,
    .btn-primary-custom:hover{ background-color:#DC483E; color:#fff; }

    Can you please send me the whole button style for the blue color theme? Thank you!

    Please look into color-schemes/blue.css

    I am sorry but I don’t seem to find this anywhere…

    If you extract the theme zip file, you’ll see a folder called color-schemes. Inside it, there are three files: blue.css, green.css and orange.css. See this screenshot: http://prntscr.com/de72gi

    I found it now, thank you so much for your help!

    I haven’t downloaded the theme, instead, I just installed it in WordPress. Can this be the problem somehow that I didn’t see the blue color theme?

    Yes, it is possible. But now that you have downloaded – you can see the styles and work on modifying them with your custom CSS 🙂
