Is there a way to Import vCards? I can only import CSVs with this plugin but I have all the contacts in vCard ready to go, I have tried a couple of converters to CSV but no good. I think is better to try to import the vCard.
    Any suggestions?

Sorry, no, there is no vCard import support. It is not a request I receive often; the last request must be years ago. I can’t recall offhand.

I can offer a roundabout solution that should work.

Create a dummy Gmail account, import your vCards, and then use the Contacts CSV Export tool to export the contacts as a CSV file.

I hope this helps; please let me know.

Oh, that’s a good idea, definitely going to try it.

PS: We had an intranet years ago and the IT left the company so we are stuck with just an editor account, so we can only add new contacts but we are migrating everything to a new site that we have admin rights to now. Any ideas on how to quickly export-import 500 contacts without admin rights?
    My only plan is 1 by 1… 500 contacts… Jesus!…

Do you have access to the WP installation file via FTP or direct access to the server that hosts the WP installation?

Nope, nothing, just an editor account. If you guys have a paid service for this our company will be more than happy to pay for it. I’m doing everything manually, unfortunately.

Doing the import and export google idea: To be honest, the import feature only imports name, description, and something else but all of the other stuff like phone number and email are not present in the option.

    -Do not import
    -Name
    -Slug
    -Description
    -Parent

Sorry, but if the editor role login is all you have access to, manual downloading the vCards is the only method available to you…

Is your company paying a web host to host the WordPress site, or is it internal to your company? If your company is paying a web host to host the site, they would be able to work with that web host to secure admin access.

    Is internal

Thank you for your time, I appreciate it. I’m going to do it manually, I’ll let you know in 200 years when I’m done πŸ˜›

If it is internal, then you should have access to the WP installation files. And, since you have access to the files, you could make a minor edit to the Connections plugin files to change the role that has access to the CSV Export tool, saving you a lot of time.

    Hello Steven,
I was able to do all of the contacts 1 by 1 that same week, which took me 4.1 days. So I exported the contacts again to the production site, but it does not export the pictures, am I missing something?

    Thanks

    Got it!
    I needed the folder Connections-images

    Thank you

Oh no, that did not work, images are still not showing up

RE: So I exported the contacts again to the production site, but it does not export the pictures, am I missing something?

I am a bit confused, sorry! How were you able to do the export if you did not have access? Did you gain access?

RE: I needed the folder Connections-images … Oh no, that did not work, images are still not showing up

If you simply copied the connections-images folder from the source to the destination site, that is not enough as the images are not attached/linked to the individual entries.

When adding the entries at the new site, you would have had to add the image.

Hello I opened a ticket with the support page #567850

    Ok so let me explain:
    website 1: (don’t have access)
website 2: Created all contacts once again manually 1 by 1
Website 3: (local for testing or maybe future production intranet): I migrated/cloned the entire site using all-in-one WP migration, then copied the connections-images folder but I still don’t see any pictures

    Thank you

Oh and now after just installing the cMap template on website 2, now I don’t have images on that page either…

So I need to add the images again 1 by 1 to each contact?
