VAT does not add on final price

    Hi @ovomdj

    VAT does not add on final price when checking out. We are selling service with 21% VAT. There is no shipping involved. How can I clear the shipping options?

    From what I understand, you’re experiencing a problem with VAT not being included in the final price at checkout, and you’re also looking to eliminate the shipping options.

    To help us get a handle on your situation, we need some additional information. Specifically, could you please confirm the following:

    1. Have you enabled the “Enable Taxes and Tax Calculations” option? You can find this under WooCommerce > Settings > General.
    2. How have you set up tax calculations? Is it based on the Customer billing address, Customer shipping address, or the Store base address? You can find this setting under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options.

    Also, to further assist you, could you please provide screenshots of your “Standard” and “Zero” tax rates? This will give us a clearer picture of how you’ve configured your tax settings. You can share screenshots with us using https://snipboard.io – just follow the instructions on the page and then paste the URL in your reply.

    Lastly, we would appreciate it if you could share a System Status Report with us. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.Once you’ve got that, you can paste them right here in your reply, or use https://pastebin.com/ to paste it there and share it with us.

    Regarding the shipping options, since there’s no shipping involved in your service, you can disable the shipping method. To do this, navigate to WooCommerce > Settings > General. set the Shipping Location(s) option to Disable shipping & shipping calculations and remember to save the changes.

     – Have you enabled the “*Enable Taxes and Tax Calculations*” option? You can find this under *WooCommerce > Settings > General*.

     – How have you set up tax calculations? Is it based on the *Customer billing address*, *Customer shipping address*, or the *Store base address*? You can find this setting under *WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options*.

    Thank you for sharing the extra details and screenshots.

    When I looked over the screenshots you sent, I noticed that you’ve only set up tax for the city of Heerlen in the Netherlands. The 21% VAT seems to be working fine there. However, if you’re also selling to other countries, you may need to set up their tax rates as well. 👉 You can learn more about Setting up Taxes in WooCommerce Here
