I created a demo site on my own subdomain and successfully moved it over to the client’s domain last week. I thought all of the links were changed properly, and deleted the demo subdomain this morning; but the client contacted me and said his photos were no longer showing up (apparently some links were still connected to the demo!).

I tried restoring the demo, changing links in the client’s site, etc… no use.

I even uninstalled WP, and reinstalled a clean version of WP and a clean version of the theme, but still no. I also created an entirely new database on the client’s server, which seemed to work, but I still get the following error whenever I try to upload photos (in particular):

“Upload Error: Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/[domain].com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2011/06. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

This is not a permissions problem because I’ve spent quite awhile googling and correctly changed certain folders to 767 (the ones that needed it), and it still didn’t work.

I can’t even see .htaccess, the var folder, etc (even when I “un-hide” hidden folders).

    Any ideas??

    Thank you!
