# various errors!

 * Hi guys, i had a wordpress blog many moons ago which i had designed by someone
   for me as i am a complete noob when it comes to this!
 * over hte years i have updated wordpress as it has asked me and i keep getting
   random errors 🙁 i believe the time this was installed originally we were on 
   wordpress 2.5.2 version (im not 100% but that rings a bell for me)
 * now I’ve updated all of my plugins and all my blog etc i get so many errors i
   have uploaded some screenshots of the errors here
 * this one occurs when i try to edit a post;

   in the store section

 * and this one appears at the top of my screen when im trying to add a post

 * anyone have any ideas what i can do to fix this? im not skilled enough to reprogram
   wordpress to make it like ive got it to start again and i really cannot afford
   to get someone to redesign my site (although it may need a redesign!) lol

 * I think that most of these errors stem from the fact that your theme is very 
   old. It’s most likely using deprecated functions.

 * There’s no need to do this. Instead you need to update the theme. It’s hard to
   know how to fix these errors without seeing the theme files. I would recommend
   that you hire someone to help out or have a look at the themes on the WordPress
   repo. There are new ones being added every day and the guidelines for submitting
   themes now is much more strict.

 * hi christine,
 * thanks for your speedy response, i notice that there were theme update options
   available – however because this is a custom theme there is no update option 
   available for that one 🙁 so therefore it seems i cannot update the them!
 * could you recommend anyone that may be able to fix the errors within the theme?
   or will it be too costly that i may as well find someone to design a theme, or
   alas, design a new theme for myself?
