    Hi Team,

For variation products I have no general SKU (the general SKU field is blank) but have SKUs (EANs in fact) for the variations. After your plugin finished adding products to Google I’ve noticed that different variations have the same title and have no SKUs. These two issues are vital to me.

I wish the title is like that for products with variations: TITLE (COLOR). The “COLOR” is an attribute that would be great to have options to choose (i.e. what product attribute you want to be here).

For SKUs, obviously, the plugin should check if there are variations and SKUs assigned to them.

Please advise if you can improve the plugin and if there is any hot fix possible at the moment (I am afraid of manually fixing the products – will the plugin override the data by chance? and I have a lot of products to do this manually…)

    Hi @grayhunter ,

There aren’t any workarounds at the moment, I recommend submitting the idea as a feature request here: https://woocommerce.com/feature-requests/google-listings-and-ads/

I also recommend adding core WooCommerce SKUs to differentiate the products.

Thanks, I’ve submitted a feature request. But what can you advise me to do now? how to improve the situation?

    Hello,

For variation products I have no general SKU (the general SKU field is blank) but have SKUs (EANs in fact) for the variations.

As mentioned previously, I think you would like to add the SKUs to the parent items, the SKU will help to identify the item.

As a work-around, you can change the title depending on the variation by using custom code, here is the code, that you can add to your functions.php file on your site, or you can add it by using a plugin like the Code Snippets.

I hope this points you in the right direction.
