I have had it with the plugin rearranging my variation display. I know how I want it displayed. It is not woocommerce job to make that decision for me. 8ft comes before 81/2ft which comes before 9ft. This is only one instance where I have had to fight this moving my display to alphbatize it it or some other arcane process.

Like I said in my review. Too Complicated and unnecessarily so. A single input page with a table to hold the variations works pretty straight forward.

Understand. I think you are correct about what is happening. I have been testing some with the dummy data once I found it. Starting to like what I see better and better. I do like the image handling which is better than my current cart after the last upgrade.

I will never be a Woo Rock star but I likely will end up switching. After more testing and/or use, I will update my review.

If you like close the thread. If needed I can reopen it correct.

I am going to reopen this thread.
    1. I cleaned out all the products in one of my test db
    2. I used the csv tools importer to import the dummy data
    3. I made a csv sheet with a two live products to include a subject attribute
    4. The single product with subject went in fine.
    5. Multiple tries at importing the variable product with success but no variations on first try. This apparently sets some kind of flag that only allow variations for that product being input on the product edit page. And it sets the inventory flag to not in stock which I cannot find a way to fix.
    6. I input the subject into the master attribute table as a select attribute which should show up at the product level as a selection attribute which it DOES NOT.
    7. I input the subject variations into the master attribute table under the configure option which I think allows them to be selected at the product level. But that is not happening either.

This whole attribute area needs a good review and work IMO.

You lost me. Why have you jumped from the original issue to imports? You’re adding complexity it seems 🙂

    1. Confirm your issue with the attributes we’ve been discussing is resolved. “I think you are correct about what is happening”. If that was the issue, we can move on.

    2. Confirm dummy data imports. This includes variations as examples. This CSV file: https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/master/dummy-data/dummy-products.csv

Ensure thats all correct before moving on to custom CSVs please and start a new thread specific to your new issue if there is one.

    1. I went back thru my attributes table today and changed all the text to select. This should take care of the attributes switching around as I can select and then drag and drop on the product page. ok.
    2. I have done the dummy data on 2 different woocommerce test beds ok. I am putting together a template based on that data and will test all before going live.
    3. I aggread with what you said on github is all.
    4. I will mark as resolved and thank you for all your help. The select vs text makes sense to me now.
