 * Hi
    i got exactly the same issue than described here by user “spraveenitpro”:
   [https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/16635](https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/16635)
 * I import a variable product with 1 attribute that should create 6 variations.

   After the import we see that the variations are not created, the inventory is
   set to “out of stock”
 * I already changed the attributeName 1 for the varitions from “Produkt” to “pa_Produkt–
   same issue.
 * Info:
    There are NO SKUS in my CSV cause i let them generate by a plugin – so
   there are no SKU-Conflicts.
 * The Importer does not thro out any errors/warnings.
 * Here is my CSV:

 * Kind regards axel

 * Is this the build in CSV importer?
 * The Parent column (AG) of the variations needs to have an SKU or ID value for
   the variable product or the importer doesn’t know what it is a variable of.

 * Hi seank123
    yes – its the build in CSV importer.
 * Ok – i thought the SKU will be given by the plugin i mentioned.
    Its called “
   WooCommerce Product SKU Generator” Am i wrong?

 * Never used that plugin – but looking at the description it looks like it works
   when you save products in Admin – there’s no mention of imports.
 * But in order to import new products with the importer you will need to give the
   main product a SKU (or ID) and use that in the Parent field of the variables
   otherwise it won;t work. Looks like you can then use this plugin to generate
   the Variation SKUs once the products are successfully imported (‘How do I add
   SKUs to old products?’ question at the bottom of the description)

 * Hello [@alauer](https://wordpress.org/support/users/alauer/),
 * Let us know if adding a SKU to the parent product addressed the variations import
   problem you described above.
 * Hopefully [@seank123](https://wordpress.org/support/users/seank123/)’s answer
   will get you sorted:

 * Hi there,
 * Since we haven’t heard back in a while, I’m going to mark this thread as “resolved”.
   Please feel free to create a new thread if you still aren’t able to get this
   to work after adding the parent product SKU’s when importing.
 * Thanks!
