SVI is like putting the WooCommerce product gallery into diferent groups so that way you may reuse the images without having to upload them for each variations again.
You can in the “SVI galleries” from the dropdown choose “default gallery” and add the default images that should be displayed.

I am afraid I don’t understand you.
Let’s say I have a product with two variations: ‘blue’ and ‘white’ and I need to add an additional image to the ‘white’ variation. Then, this is what I do:
1- Go to ‘white’ Variation
2- Click at ‘Add additional images’
3- I am moved tho the SVI Variation Gallery
4- I add my additional image ‘my_new_image.jpg’
5- Done
But the problem is that ‘my_new_image.jpg’ is shown for all Variation. I need this new image to be shown only when the ‘white’ Variation is selected.

Hi,
You don’t have to go to variations in order to create the gallery.
You can go to “SVI variations Gallery” and choose from the dropdown the variation you wish to build the gallery or choose “default gallery” to build a default gallery and click “ADD”.
But the problem ‘my_new_image.jpg’ is show for all Variation. I need this new image to be shown only when the ‘white’ Variation is selected..
You have two options:
1. in “SVI variations Gallery” dropdown choose “default gallery” and add the default images you want to be displayed instead while no variations is selected (normally add the default product image if you have no other images to use for a default gallery).
2. in WooCommerce > SVI > Thumbnails – “hidden thumbnails” option. Thumbnails will be hidden until a variation as been selected.
Have I explained what you need?

It’s showed on all variations because it’s being handle as the default gallery since you have no other image for other variation (blue) nor a default gallery created.

What part don’t you get? The plugin is pretty simple.
If you want the variation to be displayed only when selected go to WooCommerce > SVI > Thumbnails – and activate “hidden thumbnails” option.
Thumbnails will be hidden until a variation as been selected.

I understand your issue now.
SVI doesn’t use image you set in the “variations” tab. This is good for other integrations (like SEO or other plugins that may need to read that image) but SVI does not read this.
For SVI you have to create the SVI gallery for each of them: Gris, Seda and Vision and add the images.
