Title: Variable stock levels Last modified: September 1, 2016 --- # Variable stock levels * Resolved [futurestorm](https://wordpress.org/support/users/futurestorm/) * (@futurestorm) * [9 years, 8 months ago](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/variable-stock-levels/) * I am trying to manage stock levels of variable products. * I have Manage Stock checked on each variation I have entered a stock quantity of 10 When I select the variation in the store it shows as In Stock (which is correct) After I purchase 1 item, the stock level for this items shows as -1 and I get notification emails saying that product is out of stock and has been backordered. I am allowing backorders (notifying customer) but I have tested the issue with not allowing backorders and it still happens. I do not have Manage Stock checked at the Product level, only in the variations. I’m thinking something on your site specifically must be causing it. * Try temporarily switching back to the WordPress Twenty Sixteen Theme, or [Storefront](http://www.woothemes.com/storefront/), and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. When using twentysixteen the stock control works perfectly but when using either the Juster theme or my Juster Child Theme it breaks.
