    Hello All,

I am assisting in the build of a Woocommerce website, which will sell wholesale jewelry.

Currently, most products are setup as Variable products.
Variations come in 1, 3, 6, 12, 24 “pieces of jewelry”, and each set is priced on a per product basis.

An example can be seen here: http://visionisto.com/catholica2/product/st-joseph-large-cherry-wood-stretchable-bracelet-made-in-brazil/

The issue – or the website owners issue – is that they do not want the calculation to take place on the product page, but in the cart. An example product that has not been edited like above can been seen here: http://visionisto.com/catholica2/product/large-st-benedict-antique-gold-medal-with-rhinestones-0-59-inches/

While it looks like it functions correctly, it actually does not – IMO.

Let’s say you select 6 units. The pricing changes, and you manually add the 6 units, then add to cart. Now, once you’re on the cart page, you edit your quantity to 5, the cart won’t know to re-adjust the pricing, and gives you pricing for 6, even though you are now only buying 5. A user would be able to trick the system into giving them better pricing on lower quantities.

Is the way that I am doing this correct? Or does the website owner have a better grasp on the end goal, and Woo is just a bit limited ?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

It looks like the client wants WooCommerce to alter the price on the Cart page depending on quantity, but it doesn’t work that way. The solution would be custom coding for which php skills will be required or a decent budget:
