    Hi There,

When a user selects Choose an option from Size here on this product the price at the top remains the same regardless of the selection.

So if a users selects Kingsize – 5ft for example then £1,694.00 appears below the selector but the main price displayed at the top is still stuck at £675.00

We would like it to work like this product so when a user selects an option the main price just below the product <h1> title updates accordingly.

    Is this possible with WooCommerce?

BTW we are currently using WooCommerce – Show only lowest prices in variable products to simplify the main price.

    Many thanks
    Warren

    Hi @rabbitwordpress

Thank you for providing the details.

if a users selects Kingsize – 5ft for example then £1,694.00 appears below the selector but the main price displayed at the top is still stuck at £675.00

Problem 1. On my end the price is showing £1,694.00 for any variation I choose, not just Kingsize – 5ft, even after applying the clear button multiple times.

Problem 2. The price just below the product <h1> title not updating accordingly is a second issue.

Can you please check if problem 1 is resolved by disabling the WooCommerce – Show only lowest prices in variable products plugin?

If the plugin is not functioning as it should, you may want to get help at their dedicated forum: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/show-only-lowest-prices-in-woocommerce-variable-products/

Please note that the price is being displayed at only one place, not at two places like this one. That is the normal way a variable product works in WooCommerce. Here is an example for you to check: https://woostaging.mystagingwebsite.com/product/t-shirt-variation-product/ . Whether that is inside <h1> tags or not depends on the theme, and may be customized programmatically if required.

    I hope this clarifies.

    Hi @margaretwporg

Thanks very much for your reply and I’m so sorry that product hadn’t been setup correctly by the staff, I’ve fixed it now and set the variations so the price changes for each.

So regarding the main price displayed below the product title, are you saying there’s no way to make WooCommerce change this price when the variation size is changed below?

I am sure I have seen a WooCommerce website do this before. Its such a pity it cannot be made to work like this: https://www.homesdirect365.co.uk/bakersfield-white-antique-french-style-fabric-bed-p45311

Please let me know if there might be a plugin that would allow us to do this.

    Kind regards
    Warren

    Hi @rabbitwordpress,

It seems your product page is showing the lowest price below the product title while WooCommerce by default displays for variable products a price range from lowest to highest, as you can see here:

    https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/#what-customers-see

This can be due to your theme or one of your plugins and you can confirm by disabling all plugins except WooCommerce and switching to a default theme like Storefront.

are you saying there’s no way to make WooCommerce change this price when the variation size is changed below?

Out of the box, WooCommerce can’t do that, but I found a free plugin that can help you out. Go to https://wordpress.org/plugins/variation-price-display/ and download the Variation Price Range Display for WooCommerce plugin. It has a setting to change the price based on selected variation(s).

If you need more help with this third-party plugin please get in touch directly with the developer on their support forum.

    Hope this helps!
