    Hello There,

Hope you guys are well. I’m facing some issues on my website. On one of my product there is 4 Variables with the name of M, L, XL, XXL. But M is now in stock and others are out of stock. (Product Page: https://shoppersvila.com/product/gorgeous-sky-blue-color-women-printed-cotton-kurti/ )

So, I tried to filter out on the backend process by choosing filter by stock status >> out of stock and then tried to filter out but it shows other simple products. So, added another filter, filter by product type >> Variable Product but then it doesn’t shows any of out of stock variable item. Can you pls help me out to fix this..? I don’t know why this is happening there. Is this a glitch from woo???? I also deactivated all plugin but still it doesn’t shows anything 🙁

    Best Regards,
    Amrit

    Hi @iamamritdas

I’m not sure I completely understand the exact issue here. Are you referring to trying to locate Out of Stock products on the backend of the site?

Can you please explain further what is not working correctly? Are you not able to find this product on the backend of the site when searching for out of stock due to the m being in stock?

    Hey @amandasjackson

Thanks for your reply dear. Yah, You’re exactly right.

Suppose, I have a product like this one which have 4 different size variations (M, L, XL, XXL) with different stock limits. Suppose, The products m size is only in stock and others are out of stock. So, When It (L, XL, XXL) will be in stock physically then I need to change the status out of stock to in stock there in my website.

So, I tried to find that on my website back end by filtering out variable product and in addition with out of stock. But it does not shows the item. Is it happen for as m in stock or there is any option to see this on back end. So, I can put the in stock when it will be physically in stock..

So, my question is that is there any way to find out of stock variations from backend? without editing every product finding the variation of each one?

Here are the screenshot where no products are showing: https://prnt.sc/uhhbos

Hope you’ve understood my issue 🙁 . Eagerly waiting for your reply 🙂 Thanks in advance buddy 🙂

    Best Regards,
    Amrit

    Hi @iamamritdas

I was able to find an issue that someone posted on GH for Woo core regarding this same topic. You can read the reply from the developers to gain a better understanding of how the filter works in core (ie this is the expected behaviour)

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/issues/19693

To view products by variation that are out of stock, you can view this at Analytics>Stock

Hope this helps to explain further.
