Variable grid layout expanding effect awkward

  • Website: http://metagearsolid.org/blog/

Theme: tanzaku 1.1.1 by TRIPLESHIPS Inc.

Pretty much everything in the theme is great, but when you click “Continue Reading” in a post, the expanding effect is awkward. Not only does it seem to quickly load but then suddenly stretch itself down, but the place where you start doesn’t match where the “More” line was. Many times you need to scroll back up to see where you left off.

The expanding effect looks nice in a way, but I’d rather remove it for the sake of speed. Also, is there any way to make the “more” line bring you to the top of the post instead of starting you off after the line? In other words, you click on “Continue Reading” and it instantly takes you to the top of the full post without the fancy transition?

I need help on all this, I don’t know what code controls this, or how to edit it safely. I have some more questions about the theme yet, but this is the main one.
