Hi @chilisky!
I make digital scrapbook paper and at times it is more convenient to have a drop down for people to choose what type/color they want the paper in
It is possible to add digital and/or downloadable variable products to your store. You can achieve this when creating a variable product by adding the variations as attributes first and then making digital and/or downloadable the variations, in the variations section.
You can find a more detailed explanation about it here:
https://woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#downloadable-variations
do not want the address fields to show up on the check out pages.
You can achieve this through different plugins like:
* https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-checkout-field-editor
* https://wordpress.org/plugins/hide-address-fields-for-woocommerce
Let us know how it goes for you or if you have any questions.
I think I didn’t explain it very well. I know how to make variable for digital but when I use that function, the address field show up for the customers at check out and I don’t want that. I was hoping I was missing something and could archive it without a plugin.
Thank you
Hello,
Is the product tagged as virtual on your site?
Also, you can hide the address fields if the cart contains only virtual products (without a plugin), please check this tutorial and let us know how it goes in your case.
Note: It is highly recommended to use a plugin like Code Snippets to add custom PHP code into your site without directly accessing the functions.php file. Here is an article that explains how to use the Code Snippets plugin.
Let us know if there are any questions.
Hello
Yes they are tagged both as virtual and downloadable. I will look into the link and yes, I do not edit the source files. Thank you
Hi @chilisky,
Thanks for confirming. Check the link and if you prefer not to edit the source files, you can follow the plugin recommendations by Juan:
