Support » Theme: Vantage » Vantage Submenu not saving

  • Hey,

I am new to the wordpress world but am falling in love with it thanks to all of the online tutorials and support. I have run into an issue though with trying to make a drop down menu. I am using the Vantage theme and have created my menu and have brought the pages over and have tried creating drop down menus by pulling pages over slightly to the right. once this happens beside the page title it reads “sub item” and everything looks good, however when I hit SAVE MENU it reformats and brings everything back to being its own page.

Some help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    much love!

  • Hi willowd

Thanks for your support. That’s strange behaviour for sure. Perhaps try switching over to a default theme like Twenty Fourteen, then re-test. That’ll let you know if the theme is to blame. Next try testing with all plugins not made by SiteOrigin, de-activated, re-test, that’ll let you know if a plugin is to blame.

Thanks for the quick response, that is awesome service! Sadly though I tried everything you recomended and nothing changed. I switched to Twenty Fourteen and saved it. then went through one by one, deactivating, testing and then activating again moving down the line of my plug-ins. Then I went down the list deactivating, testing and letting them remain deactivated as I moved down. Neither of these made any difference in my ability to create a subitem stay after it was saved.

    thoughts?

No problem. Thanks for the update. Have you perhaps tried another browser? Google Chrome perhaps.
