  • Is there a way I can substitue images for the foler name like layouts and blends?

Yes, but you need to get lazyest-gallery lazy-gallery isn’t being actively maintained (being true to the name). Lazyest-gallery is being maintained and has the feature you’re asking for.

    thanks VaamYob 🙂

but the files to dl is in http://lazyest.keytwo.net/pub/lazyest_gallery_0.8.tar.gz

tar.gz format.. sorry for being dumb, how do I unzip it? =x

if you are running linux, you’d execute tar xzf lazyest_gallery_0.8.tar.gz and call it a day.

if you are running windows, you could install linux and be happy, or try this:

unzip the file with winzip, it should create a file with a tar extension. You should then be able to use winzip again to get at the contents of that tar file. (I’ve never tried this, but have heard that it works)

If you run into any problems, I can create a zip from tgz for you, but try what I suggested first.

    Hey

I was wondering if you could enlighten me about this.

Do you use the Cache System?

Is it better to use it?

If I use it, I’ve to change the file permission settings, is it secure and safe to do it? Thanks 🙂

Sorry but emm. I’ve got an question, I’ve tried to center the thumbmail in my gallery but could not, I’ve tried using a div tag but the thumbnail is still not center. Any one know how to center the thumbnails? Thanks

Sorry, I don’t actually have lazyest-gallery installed, so I personally can’t answer your specific questions about it.

Having said that, the only thing “better” about the caching system is the cpu/memory overhead that you no longer incur whenever someone bring up a thumbnail.

If those two are not an issue for you, then go ahead and leave caching off.

If you can live with giving the web server write access to a directory, then go ahead and turn caching on.

    Right, thanks.
I have edited the code but I still can’t get the thumbnails to be positioned in the center of the page. Any idea what code or CSS do I use? And is it possible to have all thumbnails at 100px x 100px?

I would appreciate any help about that, been trying to figure it out the entire night. Thanks

Sorry about all those double posting

When I enable the cache system, I change the file permissions to 777 but I got this error..

    WARNING:

Unable to create thumbnails inside the folder.
File permissions are actually set to 0777
Try to set them to 777

    Any idea?
