    Dear Complianz Team,

First of all: thank you for the amazing plugin. I’ve been using the free and pro version for and with clients and myself.

The recent v6.0 update has however absolutely demolished all banner styles. Previously, they looked great (using minimal block borderless). Now, it’s just.. ugly. Plus, the font-size got so small it’s barely readable.

This is happening on all of my (clients) websites, hence not unique for one instance. I’d prefer not to have to style the entire banner using custom CSS (I’m capable, but it would be time-consuming and also I feel like that’s not the point of your banner settings, really). Correct me if I’m wrong.

Could this be a conflict with Oxygen Builder? On all websites, I’m using Oxygen + Complianz. Below I have attached some screenshots and websites where it occurs.

    and the website URLS:

Again, this happens on all websites. Here (screenshot) is what it is supposed to look like (what the banner looked like before updating to v6).

I look forward to your reply. Thank you for the help. Kind regards,

I now see my site doesn’t allow hotlinking, hence the screenshots don’t show.

Here (click here) is an imgur album that shows the images, where:
    1. What the banner looked like before updating
    2. Error example 1
    3. Error example 2

    Thank you 🙂

    Hi @izaakbeer,

The new bottom banner by default has more components, and is a styled a bit different.

We’ve written an article for those users who prefer the old minimal bottom banner:

As there has been some reports of specifically users with the bottom banner who prefer the old minimal bottom banner, we’re currently looking at bringing it back as template.

    Hope this helps!

With all due respect and appreciation for the great plugin and your hard work, but why get previous settings and stylings overwritten? Now I have to revise the design of the banners for all my customers, for free.

Is this something that does not happen with the paid version? 🙈

There is no difference between free and premium regarding this.

These changes were necessary to keep up with gdpr and wcag.

@rogierlankhorst Thank you for the swift reply (or bedankt!).

This definitely helps. I agree with ioiodesign though, it’s quite the wrong (or at least, doubtful) move to change styles so significantly between updates. Absolutely understand where you are coming from with changing requirements, incorporating more features, etcetera. But (yeah, there it is, haha) the style is not even in the slightest bit similar to what it was. To me, it honestly looks like the styles aren’t working/it’s broken.

Anyway, looks like I have some custom CSS work to do here.

Thanks a lot for the clarification and keep it up with the amazing plugin!

    Cheers, Beer
