# v2.0 Encoding Problem

 * Hello,
 * i just installed the Version 2.0 of NextGen Gallery, which seems to work well.
 * I do only get one (massive) problem:
    As soon as I load an article including 
   a Gallery the whole encoding of my website is messed up:
 * [http://www.chalkonrock.com/sportclimbing/](http://www.chalkonrock.com/sportclimbing/)
 * “ä” will be displayed as “ü”, etc.
 * I guess there’s a minor modification necessary to solve this problem, but where?
   I can’t find where the problem comes from.
 * Anyone an idea?

 * I found one other place where this encoding problem happens:
    If you edit a gallery
   and press the button “Meta”, the values in Caption and Title are in the same 
   bad encoding style. Everything outside the Metabox is still correctly encoded.
   🙂
 * Maybe a similar solution?!

 * Hey Erick,
 * as you asked for, i updated to 2.0.11.
    The encoding issue in admin panel (edit
   gallery, press on meta button at any picture) is still unsolved.
