I'm getting an error, as well.

Fatal error: Cannot use object of type WP_Error as array in /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-metabox.php on line 257

Yes, Yoast SEO 1.5.5.2 wrong. Make a mistake while editing the page, disappears from the SEO settings, etc.

OK people stop posting your root folder never a good idea to include root anywhere publicly

Here after the update when i try to write a new post WordPress displays in the editor only the title box and the tinyMCE area, hiding tags, category, thumbnails and all the other boxes (and not opening screen option).
Strangely, if i try to add a news custom type post (or edit an exiting post) it works with no problems

A temporary solution until an official fix out: resend via ftp overwriting the files on /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo with version 1.5.5.1 can be downloaded in http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wordpress-seo.1.5.5.1.zip

My guess is that Joost will update the plugin very soon. For now, deactivate the WordPress SEO plugin until it's fixed.

OR, delete the "wordpress-seo" plugin folder via FTP, download the previous plugin version (1.5.5.1) here, unzip the downloaded plugin file, and upload it via FTP into your plugins folder. Once you see there's an update subsequent to 1.5.5.2, update it via your WordPress Plugins page.

Problem is not resolved for me.

WordPress 3.9.2 - WordPress SEO 1.5.5.1 through to 1.5.5.3 will not allow custom entries on page or post to be saved. Example - change SEO Title or Meta Description and click UPDATE. It will not save.

Rolled back to 1.5.5 and functionality returns.

Did not experience any fatal error messages. Was working in Chrome Version 36.0.1985.125 m.
