[resolved] v1.1.6 broken shortlinks (4 posts)

Using a very minimal theme the latest version of polylang broke my shortlins.

My menu (except for the home element) doesn't work. All links like /contact or /about get a 404 error as the ID was non-existent.

If I switched back to the default /?p=123 link structure, lins work again.

If I didable the polylang plugin, links work with the shortlinks.

Please help, tell me what to do... I used polylang before with no problems...

    Permalink settings:

    option #5 (és/)
    with the apropriate .htaccess file

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /dentha/
    RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /dentha/index.php [L]

    Static homepage:

Yes, it works as the link in the menu is /. /home doesn't work however

    Polylang settings:

    (in hungarian, sorry)

Sorry I missed your initial post. I am glad you found the problem yourself.

The problem effectively lies in the CCTM plugin. This plugin does exactly what is recommended not to do in strong characters on the flush_rewrite_rules codex page

So the author added the option you had to check to disable this bad comportment but this does not solve the issue in a correct way as now you will have to manually flush rewrite rules each time you register a new custom post type...

It breaks Polylang but for sure it breaks other plugins too. See the link I found in CCTM code: http://code.google.com/p/wordpress-custom-content-type-manager/issues/detail?id=50 (the issue was reported before I started coding the first line of Polylang).
