v11.x brings big network down

    Hello, community and Yoast Support team.

    We have a network with 1000+ sites with Yoast active in every one of them.

    We updated a while back to 11.0 and it brought our network down. DB connections spiked up and then Application CPU spiked up as well.

    Recently we moved the network to WP 5.2.2 and then today we tried to move Yoast to 11.8 to see if this was fixed but we had the same issue.

    Something is doing an intensive use of the database that I was unable to find out. Ideas?
