• Ok.. I have been trying to redirect the ip to display my domain name in WordPress on
Google Cloud Console. My domain is registered somewhere else (Uniweb.no), but the DNS nameservers have been changed and API enabled + Cloud DNS A + CNAME configured in my GCC compute engine.
My site showed up by typing the domain name, but changed to display the ip address immediately after loading the site. Therefore I tried changing the Site Address in General Settings in my WP panel. Now the domainname is visible also after loading so that worked fine. However now I can not see the site displayed in WP admin panel Customizer and receive a blank page with the words “Non existent changeset UUID” error message.
Here is my main problem: Everywhere I look for answers it says the site address and the WordPress address must be the same. EXCEPT I already tried this once. The result was that I was locked out of my site and couldn’t access it again. Luckily I had a rough backup file and have now reconstructed the site at a new instance on Cloud Console. This said, I am now facing the same issue as before and do not want to make the same mistake. Could anyone please advise as to a good solution? I can still login to my WP admin account through the ip address, but I cannot preview my site in Customizer when it jumps to the domain name http://www.timehospsykolog.no.
I apologize for having so little experience configuring websites, and really need this explained in as simple words as possible. I spent a week trying to solve this last time round. Thanks ever so much for taking the time! Anyone?
