UTM Tracking in Webba after update?
-
Hello,
Has the new update brought any novelties as for the UTM tracking? I wonder is it now possible to store UTM data in form hidden fields for the lead source tracking?
Kind regards,
Sylvia

Hello Sylvia,
UTM tracking is implemented using custom JS code so it not depends on the Webba updated. Please, clarify – is is configured already on your website?Hello,
It os not configured yet. We tried to do it once (not sure if by JS code though) but it didn’t work. Please see the other thread on the forum – https://wordpress.org/support/topic/utm-tracking-in-webba/
Do you happen to have a new solution? I would be a total gamechanger for me.
Thanks in advance,
SylviaHello Sylvia,
This feature is still in progress. Approximately we plan to included in in February 2025.
Wow, that’s soon! Thanks for the good news!
Hello again,
How is it going with developing this feature? Could you provide any more precise date? This would be a total gamechanger for me!Hi respirit,
ETA for this feature is moved to Mid-March. We’ll be releasing a massive back-end update next week, hence our focus and efforts is on that. We’ll keep you posted! ThanksHello again,
As we are now in Mid-March, do you have any precise release date of the UTM feature? 🙂
Hi resprit,
we are launching a new update today, but unfortunately it won’t include UTM tracking yet. For UTM tracking to work, our forms should have the unique URL, which is not how the forms are set up. However, while exploring UTM tracking we found that best way would be to integrate directly with Google Analytics. We plan to build that integration as soon as possible, will keep you posted.:((((((((((((((((
Where can I find a list of all the novelties that the today’s update brings? 🙂Hi Sylvia,
the changelog can be found here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/webba-booking-lite/#developers
But this last update was 100% for the backend code update, that will help us to develop features faster as well as make the whole plugin faster. So you won’t notice much as a user for now…
In the next update there should be noticeable improvements from the user side 🙂
Best,
MandroHi Sylvia,
Good news! Our latest update has GA4 Event Tracking integration! And it works automatically – simply make sure you have GA connected to your website and Webba’s events will appear in the Events section of GA4 in 48-72h. Let us know if it works!-

Hello,
What are the default names of the events in GA4? I don’t think it works in my case, is it working with another users? I would appreciate your help 🙂
As for the UTM tracking – is there any progress? As for the event tracking GA is not perfect when it comes to assigning source or campaign. UTMs are normally flawless in this sense.
Kind regards,
SylviaDear Sylvia,
Current Webba GA4 integration does not offer an option to setup UTM tags. We automatically track events within the booking form only, so you can see at which step there is the biggest dropoff and how many bookings were made.
We have a new doc article explaining the setup and the list of the event names (most important is to mark those events as “key events”: https://webba-booking.com/documentation/google-analytics-integration/
At the moment, we do not have more requests for UTM tracking functionality hence have to prioritize features with more votes in the Feature Request forum: http://webba-booking.com/feature-requests/ -
