Support » Plugin: Geo Mashup » utilise data from WooCommerce fields to update Geo Mashup fields

  • Hi,

I would like to be able to pull data from our WooCommerce checkout area and update my Geo Mashup data for a user’s location.

Specifically I would like to utilise the data from WooCommerce’s ‘billing_city’, ‘billing_state’ and ‘billing_country’ fields to update the following Geo Mashup fields: ‘geo_latitude’, ‘geo_longitude’, ‘geo_address’ and ‘geo_date’.

So that a user will automatically appear on our map after they signup.

Any help/advice with this would be much appreciated.

You could try setting Settings / Geo Mashup / Overall / Geocode Custom Fields to billing_city, billing_state, billing_country. When those fields are saved for a user Geo Mashup should try to geocode the combination.

    Hi Dylan,

Really appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we are already using custom fields on a direct signup form which is currently working via ultimate member.

I am really looking for an indirect and optional way to sign up members via the WooCommerce checkout system by populating our custom fields with the required WC billing address details.

Any help and advice is really appreciated.

That sounds to me like it might have to be done on the WooCommerce side, maybe something to copy the billing fields to the ones you use on your signup form. Some kind of integration using the WooCommerce API and GeoMashup API would be the roll-your-own way to do it.
