[Resolved] UTF-8 encoding in PHP theme files not passed on rendering

  • Hello,

It appears that since version 3.1.4, text that is part of design and that is inside PHP theme files loses its encoding during rendering process.

This is a non-English text and PHP files that contain it are encoded in UTF-8. It is inserted in header.php of the Twenty Ten theme.

    Thank you!

  • Have no idea what’s going on, but non-English text that used to be replaced with “?” marks after the upgrade, now auto-magically displays correctly once again.
