USP Stopped Working

    Hi Jeff,

    Love this plugin (and many of your other plugins too) but it seems to have stopped working for me (or TBH, not sure it has worked since I moved the site to its live location as never tested it). Have tried various options, cleared cache, browser cache, disabled all other plugins, etc but no joy. It appears to submit okay but no success or fail message and nothing is posted.

    USP v20180323
    PHP v5.6
    WP v4.9.5

    Any suggestions to try?

    Hey Benz1, I’m not sure what it could be, but sounds like you may want to do some basic troubleshooting of your theme and plugins. And if you are using any kind of cache plugin, that’s where I would start, as caching can interfere with dynamic page functionality like form submission et al.     Thanks Jeff. I had already cleared website and browser cache and deactivated all other plugins but just to be sure I just deactivated all plugins and switched to the 2017 theme but still no joy. Can it cause problems to move the site from one domain to another?

    Anything is possible, so it’s difficult to guess at what might be happening. It sounds like maybe something weird happened when you transferred the site. Something that may be useful is setting up a test WP installation, leaving all at defaults with no other plugins, and then do some tests with USP. Then after verifying proper functionality, you can recreate the setup of your actual site, one thing at a time, testing between each, until the cause of the issue is determined. You can do this both locally and online and then compare notes, etc.

    Thanks Jeff but putting in the too hard basket for now. Have found a similar plugin that does the job so will just use that for now and maybe re-investigate when I have more time. Thanks for your help.

    I too just noticed that the plugin doesnt work on my site anymore. I did not make any changes. People submit posts but I dont see them in WP admin “pending” or even “draft”. I tested a post submit and it is no where to be found.

    I made no changes. But after updating the plugin to latest version it seems ok now tx
