Using YouTube as video host then getting RSS for iTunes

  • Is it possible to use PodPress to get podcasts uploaded to YouTube into an RSS feed for iTunes? It doesn’t seem to be an option in the settings. I was using Amazon S3, but apparently there are people out there watching my podcast and the costs were mounting up.

I am not a techie or anything- please help!

Well, it is possible to add YouTube videos to your posts with podPress. But since a link to a YouTube video is not like a link to a certain media, it is not possible to add YouTube video like video files to RSS feeds (it is not possible to add them as <enclosure>s). That is iTunes does not recognises YouTube videos which are part of post.

You need to have an URL to the source file of the video.
