I wasn’t sure which forum to post to so I’ll start here. I’m trying to incorporate a modified version of xoapWeather in a WP1.3 install I’m doing for a friend. I’m using the Kubrick theme for 1.3 and the include is in a template page called “resources”. It can be viewed here. The include looks like this:
<?php include "weather/index.php"; ?>. If you look at the page you’ll notice that the images do not load and the zip code cannot be changed because the submit button links to the home page (action=”index.php) rather than the index.php in the weather folder. I’ve posted to the support forum at xoapWeather but I think that my problem is understanding the new WP framework for themes.
I have the “weather” folder in the root and you’ll notice that the above include, which is in the resource.php template page at root/wp-content/themes/kubrick/is pointing to “weather/index.php” which is the main file for xoapWeather. How does WP know that the weather folder is in the root from this call? It was the only way I could get the app to show up in the page but the links to the images and the form link (action=””) doesn’t not point to the weather folder. I’ve tried a bunch of things but I’m lost. Has anyone played with xoapWeather in WP1.3 and if so can you explain to me what I’m doing wrong. Any insight would be very helpful … I’ve been looking at this for hours.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
