I am working on a client website which uses password protection for its clients, is written in html, javascript. SQL etc but is not a CMS. it has dynamically generated menus ie that point to members’ information. I now want to add all of the advantages of WP – plugins (for membership), widgets, SEO etc etc etc. Because of the need for password protection of some pages whatever system one chooses must either a) wrap the existing website, b) pass passwords across the two types of website or use WP for non-password pages. Clear so far?

What does anyone think is the best way to do this and do you have examples of what you have done? For example, I also thought I could spin up a WP website and create new page templates which I insert current pages into and use all of the other WP posts and pages as I want.

    Happy to provide clarification.
