using wordspew.php? please read.

I have a few dozen sites running the WordSpew plugin, and lately have been bombarded with spam, sometimes 15-25 POST request every second. I’ve been able to throttle the flooding using special mod_security rulesets but it seems the plugin converts user input with “http://” into a hyperlink automagically. and there’s no option to disable that feature.

the plugin throttles the postings but if it’s coming from 10 different IP addresses, it becomes a problem. 🙂

anyone know of a work around? 🙂
