# Using WordPress without a webserver?

 * Hi,
 * Is it possible to design a blog using WordPress without a webserver? I was planning
   on making a very simple blog using the WP platform but really want to finish 
   it before paying for a webhost.
 * If it is possible, could someone please explain how I would go about setting 
   this up?
 * If it matters at all, I am using an Intel Based iMac.
 * Thank you!

 * you can **run a web server** on Mac OS, so yes. You need to get that stuff going
   on your own though — thats where google can be very helpful.
